Touch of Freedom
Composites that Scratch the Existential Itch.
This modern/contemporary art collection explores free will and existence. Why, you ask? Because I made the epic mistake of asking myself the same aggravating question: "WHY?". That red pill took me down a rabbit hole involving far more questions than answers. Thanks to the relentless pain caused by the invisible hell called autoimmune, I am hellbent on understanding why my own army feels comfortably entitled to attack what it was built to protect. At the very least, pursuing meaning in life keeps this inferno interesting, even if the epiphanies stay elusive. So here I am, an entropy junkie, matrix-ing the matrix.
Inspired by old masters and new, I am creating a visual language articulating my myriad neural pathways. Since words have entirely failed me when expressing the challenges of coping with a chronic illness and past trauma, art has done wonders for me in the communications department. With a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Data Modeling Skills, I am working on discerning the priorities of my "various" parts and why they war with each other when they are all part of the same "whole" me. This is the pursuit of a touch of freedom from suffering in my lifetime.
Ride the wave with my quarks. Experience the ups and downs, strengths and limits, quirks, and, of course, charm!
